An excellent prospect has arisen for a technically strong Financial Accountant / Senior Auditor to make their first move from Chartered into a leading institutional investment organisation.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will join a high-performing finance function and gain broad exposure across financial reporting, fund accounting and a diverse portfolio of listed and unlisted investments.

n

This role would particularly suit a Senior Auditor currently working with Asset Management or Investment Management clients who is looking to take their technical accounting experience into a commercial environment.

The Role:

n

As part of the Financial Control team, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial and investment accounting activities, including:

n

- Management and statutory reporting across multiple investment funds.
n
- Financial and fund accounting.
n
- Review and preparation of statutory financial statements.
n
- Oversight of valuation processes across listed and unlisted assets.
n
- Working closely with outsourced fund administrators and other service providers.
n
- Daily, monthly and year-end financial controls.
n
- Review of fund expenses, management fees and associated calculations.
n
- Supporting external audit and financial reporting requirements.
n
- Providing financial analysis and technical accounting support.
n




- Liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, controls and reporting.
n
- Supporting projects across the broader Finance function.
n

The Requirements:

n

n
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
n
- CA/CPA qualification Senior Auditor looking to make your first move into industry.
n
- CA or CPA qualification.
n
- Experience auditing Asset Management or Investment Management clients highly regarded.
n
- Alternatively, strong broader Financial Services audit experience will be considered.
n
- Exposure to funds, financial instruments and/or financial markets.
n
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
n
- Advanced Excel skills.
n
- The ambition and commercial mindset to develop within a sophisticated investment environment.

- You'll work alongside an experienced finance team, gain exposure to complex listed and unlisted investments and have the opportunity to build on your technical accounting foundation in a highly commercial environment.

- Salary: $130,000-$150,000 package + up to 12.5% bonus.
