Job Description

An established and growing Head Contractor is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its pre-construction team, working across a diverse pipeline of projects valued up to $50 million.

This role will suit an Estimator who has developed their career within a Head Contractor / Main Contractor environment and is confident pricing projects from initial tender through to submission.

You'll work closely with senior management and the wider construction team, with good exposure to clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the tender process.

An established and growing Head Contractor is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its pre-construction team, working across a diverse pipeline of projects valued up to $50 million.

This role will suit an Estimator who has developed their career within a Head Contractor / Main Contractor environment and is confident pricing projects from initial tender through to submission.

You'll work closely with senior management and the wider construction team, with good exposure to clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the tender process.

The Role

n

- Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for projects up to $50M
n
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
n
- Complete take-offs, BOQs and detailed cost planning
n




- Develop scopes of work and trade packages
n
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing
n
- Prepare tender comparisons and trade analysis
n
- Identify project risks, opportunities and value-management options
n
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams
n
- Assist with tender presentations, clarifications and handover to construction
n
- Maintain strong subcontractor relationships and current market pricing
n

About You

n

- Previous estimating experience with an Australian Head Contractor / Main Contractor
n
- Demonstrated experience pricing construction projects up to $50M
n
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, trade packages and buildability
n
- Commercially astute with strong attention to detail
n
- Established subcontractor relationships within the Sydney market
n
- Confident communicator who can work collaboratively with both pre-construction and delivery teams
n
- Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related qualification advantageous
n
