The role

Controls Initiation Lead provides strategic leadership for controls delivery, governance, and business performance across complex programmes. The role drives client relationships, operational excellence, compliance, and team development to deliver sustainable outcomes and support long-term business growth.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Champion Safety First, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, programme, cost, sustainability, and compliance.
- Provide strategic leadership across controls initiatives, aligning delivery with business objectives and priorities.
- Build and manage key client and executive relationships, supporting governance and growth opportunities.
- Oversee budgets, performance, and compliance to ensure sustainable and ethical operations.
- Shape long-term business strategy and drive continuous improvement across the function.
- Develop high-performing teams through coaching, knowledge sharing, talent development, and inclusive leadership.

You’ll need to have:





- Degree-qualified in project management, construction, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience leading major programmes and high-performing teams.
- Advanced knowledge of HSE regulations, compliance, and industry best practice.
- Chartered status or skilled membership (APM, RICS, ICE, CIOB) preferred.
