Senior Business Development Manager | Equipment Hire

We are searching for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join a growing and highly successful equipment hire business in Sydney .

This is not an account management role where you simply look after existing customers. We are looking for someone who enjoys being out in the market, opening doors, building relationships and winning recent business.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of business development across the Sydney market, targeting customers within:

Commercial Construction

Infrastructure

Contractors

Builders

Earthmoving

Government & Local Council

Industrial and specialist projects

You will be responsible for identifying upcoming projects, developing relationships with key decision-makers and positioning the company's equipment hire solutions with current and existing customers.

What You'll Be Doing

Proactively hunting and winning new business across Sydney

Building relationships with builders, contractors and project managers

Identifying upcoming construction and infrastructure projects

Conducting regular customer and site visits

Developing a robust pipeline of new opportunities

Managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting through to closing

Growing equipment hire revenue across your territory

Working closely with internal operations and hire teams

Developing long-term relationships with key customers





Achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated sales skilled with a genuine hunter mentality .

You will bring:

Proven experience in Business Development or Technical Sales

A strong track record of winning new business

Experience selling into construction, civil or industrial markets

Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

A highly proactive and driven personality

The ability to work autonomously and manage your own territory

A genuine desire to earn significant commission
