About the role

n

This is a hands-on role assisting qualified boilermakers, welders, and fabricators with general workshop and shipyard tasks. You will support steel preparation, material handling, cleanup, fitting assistance, and safe day-to-day production activities.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Assisting boilermakers, welders, fabricators, and mechanical trades with daily tasks
n
- Supporting preparation, grinding, drilling, cleanup, and basic fabrication activities
n
- Handling materials, tools, and equipment safely in a workshop or shipyard environment
n
- Following instructions from trades, leading hands,



and supervisors
n
- Working safely and contributing to a productive team environment
n

About you

n

You may not be trade qualified, but you will have practical hands-on experience and the right attitude. To be successful, you will bring:

n

n
- A current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
n
- Experience using hand tools, grinders, drills, or basic fabrication equipment
n
- Previous experience supporting boilermakers, welders, fabricators, or similar trades
n
- A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work
n
- A team-first attitude with a focus on working safely
n
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and build skills in the marine fabrication industry
n
