The Salty Axe is bringing the very first axe throwing experience to the Fraser Coast, and we're on the hunt for a confident, energetic, and safety-focused Manager to lead the way.

About the Role

n

As the Axe Throwing Venue Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our guests' experience, balancing fun and safety while leading a passionate team. You'll oversee daily operations, ensure every throwing session runs smoothly, and help grow The Salty Axe into the region's most talked-about entertainment destination.

What You'll Do

n

Lead, motivate, and support a small team, ensuring exceptional service and engagement at every session.

n

Provide explicit and engaging safety instruction to all guests before throwing begins, ensuring all equipment is safe and in top condition.

n

Entertain, energise, and engage guests - reading the room and adapting your style to suit different groups.

n

Manage daily operations, including opening and closing duties, point of sale, cash handling, and rostering.

n

Operate autonomously while maintaining strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.

n

Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors for stock replenishment and venue repairs.

n

Promote and grow The Salty Axe by engaging with the local community and identifying brand opportunities.

Confidently manage large group experiences with professionalism and enthusiasm.

n

Maintain a clean, safe, and vibrant environment for both staff and guests.

n

Perform occasional heavy or repetitive lifting as part of venue setup and maintenance.

n

What We're Looking For

n

Availability Wednesday to Sunday, including day and night shifts.

n

A strong focus on safety, with First Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

n

RSA certificate or willingness to obtain.

n

Proven leadership experience (1–3 years) in team management, staff development, and performance monitoring.

n

Confident, outgoing, and able to assertively manage groups while keeping the atmosphere upbeat and fun.

n

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

n

Prior experience in hospitality, events, or entertainment is highly desirable.

n

Rezdy experience advantageous.
