Mars Recruitment are parterning with a leading service‐based organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager for an initial 4‐month contract, with possibility for extension. This role suits a commercially sharp procurement professional who can step in immediately and take ownership of end‐to‐end procurement across a diverse category portfolio, with a strong focus on contract negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Category planning that optimises cost, performance and risk
n
- Manage contract negotiations and esnure approvals are managed correctly
n
- Spend and market analysis to inform sourcing strategies
n
- Lead RFI/RFP processes, tender evaluations and commercial negotiations
n
- Formulate and manage contracts, schedules and supplier KPIs
n
- Maintain preferred supplier registers and contract management systems
n
- Champion P2P compliance, coach stakeholders and convert PRs to POs
n




- Drive continuous improvement, standardisation and procurement innovation
n
- Build robust relationships across the organisation and lead cross‐functional delivery
n

Key Requirements:

n

n
- 5+ years' generalist procurement experience
n
- Strong sourcing, negotiation and contract management capability
n
- Ability to coach stakeholders and lead cross‐functional teams
n
- Solid understanding of P2P processes and procurement systems
n
- Commercial acumen, analytical strength and strategic thinking
n
