- Produce detailed primary design deliverables for HV/MV substations, including SLDs and layout drawings
n
- Support equipment selection and contribute to technical specifications aligned with project needs
n
- Apply foundational knowledge of earthing, clearances, and insulation in design work
n
- Use AutoCAD (or similar) to develop and update engineering drawings
n
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian standards and industry requirements
n
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and efficient design solutions
n
- Provide technical input during project planning, design reviews, and delivery phases
n
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project success
n

A successful Junior Primary Engineer should have:

n

- Proficiency in HV/MV substation primary design, including single line diagrams and layouts.
n
- Experience with AutoCAD, microstation or similar design tools to create technical drawings.
n
- Strong understanding of equipment selection, specifications, earthing, and clearance basics.
n
- Familiarity with Australian standards (preferred).
n
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
n
- A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent technical background.
