Development Project Manager | Apartments | Move to client-side

A Brisbane developer wants a Development Project Manager who actually owns the commercial on the job - claims, variations, trade packages - rather than a sliver of a giant project.

You'll sit with a Brisbane commercial builder doing retail and apartment work, with a push into Industrial. This is an chance for someone to move client-side from working at a head contractor.

Day to day that looks like:

- Feasibility and Acquisition
- Build and manage project feasibilities, testing and stress-testing the numbers as projects evolve.
- Support site identification, due diligence and acquisition assessment.
- Planning, Design and Approvals
- Manage the design process and consultant team, including architects, engineers, planners and other specialists.
- Drive development applications and approvals through to outcome, managing council, community and authority relationships.
- Construction and Delivery
- Work hand-in-glove with the Construction Contractor to deliver projects on programme, on budget and to 's quality standard.

This suits:





- Proven experience as a Development Manager or Development/Project Manager taking residential projects from concept right through to completion.
- Ideally from one of two backgrounds: a genuine construction background, or solid apartment / multi-residential development experience. Strength in either will get our attention, and both is a real plus.
- If construction is your background, that might be coming up through trade, site or project management before moving into development, or holding direct responsibility for the build within a development role.
- Formal training or qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Comfortable in a small-business environment. You own the detail and get involved across every part of a project rather than relying on a layer of direct reports.
- Motivated by building something and growing alongside the business, with the patience and loyalty that a long-term role with an owner-led developer rewards.
