Virtue Family & Property Lawyers is a small, up-and-coming law firm based in the Brisbane CBD, focused on property, migration, and family law. We're backed by an established migration and professional services business with a long-standing industry presence and a strong referral network. We're looking for an experienced Senior Property Solicitor or Senior Conveyancer to run a caseload of property files independently and mentor and develop other team members. This is a senior role suited to someone who wants genuine autonomy, a share of fees they originate, and a hand in shaping how the practice runs. We're also keen to hear from generalist solicitors who want to build a broad practice across property, family and commercial law as we grow — there's plenty of room to develop your career with us.

Key responsibilities

- Running a full caseload of property law files independently, from instruction through to settlement
n
- Reviewing and advising on contracts, due diligence and title issues across residential and commercial property matters
n
- Mentoring and supervising junior solicitors, conveyancers and paralegals, and reviewing their work
n
- Liaising directly with clients, real estate agents, brokers and financial institutions
n
- Maintaining accurate file management, trust accounting and compliance processes
n




- Contributing to the growth of the practice through referral relationships and business development
n

About you

n

n
- Admitted as a Solicitor with a current Queensland practising certificate (or a licensed conveyancer with equivalent standing)
n
- Significant experience in property law/conveyancing (3+ years PQE or equivalent), with a demonstrated ability to run files without supervision
n
- Proven experience mentoring, training or supervising junior lawyers or conveyancing staff
n
- Strong technical knowledge of Queensland property law
n
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
n
- Highly organised, with strong file and time management skills
n
- Experience using LEAP legal software
n
- Working knowledge of the PEXA electronic settlement platform
n
- Experience across family law or general commercial matters
n
- A track record of building or maintaining referral relationships
n
