Shared Beginnings Early Learning is looking for two passionate and confident Room Leaders to join our team:

Nursery Room Leader

n

About the Roles

n

As a Room Leader, you'll take ownership of creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children feel secure, confident and excited to explore.

n

You'll lead and mentor the educators within your room, support high-quality programming and practice, and build genuine partnerships with children and families.

n

Most importantly, you'll create a room culture where your team feels supported and children are given every opportunity to learn, grow and have FUN.

n

Our Nursery Room Leader will have a genuine passion for infant care and understand the importance of secure attachments, responsive caregiving and consistent routines.

n

You'll create a calm, nurturing environment where our youngest children feel safe and connected while supporting their early development through meaningful relationships, sensory exploration and play.





n

Our 2–3 Years Room Leader will embrace all the curiosity, growing independence and BIG personalities that come with this wonderful stage of development!

n

You'll create engaging opportunities for children to explore, communicate, build confidence and develop their emerging social and emotional skills through child-led, play-based learning.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Leadership & Team Support

n

n
- Lead, mentor and support educators within your room
n
- Model positive, high-quality early childhood practice
n
- Build a collaborative and supportive room culture
n
- Support your team's professional growth and confidence
n
- Lead engaging, child-led and play-based learning experiences
n
- Guide observations, documentation, planning and critical reflection
n
- Embed EYLF V2.0 and the Shared Foundations Approach into everyday practice
n
- Create inspiring environments based on children's interests, strengths and development
n
- Build warm, secure and meaningful relationships with children
n
- Develop genuine partnerships with families
n
- Support each child's individual routines, interests and developmental needs
n
- Create an inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported
n

Quality & Child Safety

n

n
- Maintain a safe, compliant and well-organised learning environment
n
- Champion child safety, wellbeing and active supervision
n
- Support strong practice across the NQF and NQS
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement and Assessment & Rating readiness
n

n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
n
- Previous Room Leader or senior educator experience is highly regarded
n
- Strong understanding of VEYLDF, NQF and NQS
n
- Confidence leading, mentoring and supporting educators
n
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practice
n
- Current Working With Children Check
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
n
- A warm, positive approach and genuine passion for early childhood education
n
- Plenty of energy, patience and a love of making learning FUN!
