About the Role

n

We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer - Open Pit to join our team at Mt Magnet on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth. Reporting to the Open Pit Mining Manager, you'll provide technical leadership across mine planning, scheduling, design and operational execution.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide technical leadership across open pit mine planning, design, scheduling and operational execution.
n
- Lead and contribute to open pit and drill and blast designs that maximise the value of the orebody.
n
- Provide strategic input into short, medium and long-term mine planning and operational strategy.
n
- Work closely with operational teams to support the safe and productive delivery of production targets.
n
- Assist the Open Pit Mining Manager with plans, budgets and targets to ensure they are effectively achieved within guidelines.
n
- Monitor mining performance and costs against budget, identifying opportunities to improve operational and financial performance.
n
- Provide coaching and mentoring to Mining Engineers.
n
- Ensure engineering designs incorporate appropriate risk management and operational controls.

About You

n

You are an experienced Senior Mining Engineer who combines strong technical capability with a practical,



operational approach. You enjoy working closely with site teams and have the confidence to provide technical guidance, solve complex problems and influence mining outcomes.

You'll Ideally Bring

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering and solid experience in an open pit gold mining environment.
n
- Strong mine scheduling and open pit mine design experience.
n
- Competency with Surpac and Deswik.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
n
- Technical and working knowledge of relevant mining legislation.
n
- Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritise workloads.
n
- Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgement, with the ability to solve problems and remove obstacles.
n
- WA "C" Class Driver's Licence and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
n
- WA Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competency.
