Lead Roofer - Custom Tiny Homes (Roofing & Cladding)

We design and build custom tiny homes on wheels from our workshop in Yatala. As we continue to grow, we're bringing our roofing work in-house and looking for an experienced Lead Roofer to take ownership of roofing and external cladding across our tiny homes, decks and pergolas.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, can work independently and enjoys being trusted to manage their own day.

You'll work closely with our founders and Construction Lead, supported by a dedicated labourer and a relaxed, hardworking team.

About the Role

n

You'll be responsible for completing roofing and external cladding work across our projects, including:

n

n
- Installing Colorbond roofing and wall cladding
n
- Working across a variety of profiles and custom tiny home designs
n
- Installing flashings, cappings, trims and associated roof details
n
- Completing waterproofing and weatherproofing details
n
- Reading plans and interpreting design requirements
n
- Planning your work and coordinating materials
n




- Working with a dedicated labourer
n
- Communicating with the Construction Lead regarding timing, priorities and site requirements
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
n
- Completing quality checks throughout each project
n
- Taking ownership of producing neat, durable and watertight finishes
n

This is not repetitive large-scale roofing. Every tiny home is different, so the role requires someone who can think through details, solve problems and deliver a high standard of finish.

What We're Looking For

You've need:

- Strong experience in metal roofing and roof plumbing
n
- Experience working with Colorbond roofing and wall cladding
n
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workflow
n
- Confidence reading plans and working through custom details
n
- High attention to detail
n
- Pride in your workmanship
n
- Robust communication and reliability
n
- A safety-first approach
n
- The ability to work well with a small team and take feedback
n

n

Experience with tiny homes, modular buildings or custom residential construction will be highly regarded, but the most important thing is proven roofing ability and a commitment to quality.
