The Position
n
Jewish Care Victoria is seeking an accomplished and values-led executive to become its next Director People and Culture. Following a period of significant organisational transformation, Jewish Care is entering its next chapter focused on workforce sustainability, service growth, leadership capability and long-term community impact. This is a pivotal executive leadership prospect to shape the workforce, culture and organisational capability required to support one of Victoria's most respected community organisations into the future.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a member of the Executive Team, the Director People and Culture contributes to enterprise strategy and leads across workforce strategy, organisational development, employee and industrial relations, culture, wellbeing and organisational capability. Leading the People & Culture function across a workforce of approximately 1,100 employees, the role partners closely with leaders across the organisation to strengthen workforce sustainability, build leadership capability, enhance organisational performance and ensure Jewish Care remains well positioned to respond to changing workforce, regulatory and community expectations.

The successful candidate will be an experienced People & Culture executive with a strong track record operating in complex, regulated and values-driven environments.
Combining strategic thinking with operational delivery, they will bring expertise in workforce strategy, organisational development, culture and workforce transformation together with strong commercial judgement and stakeholder influence. Importantly, Jewish Care is seeking a leader characterised by humility, curiosity and emotional intelligence; someone who listens first, values existing strengths and works collaboratively to build capability across the organisation. Experience within aged care, health, community services or the broader for-purpose sector will be highly regarded.
