Dental Assistant (Surgical) – Part-Time & Casual

We are seeking a highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our supportive perioperative team on a part-time or casual basis, this role is well suited to someone with experience in oral and maxillofacial, implant or other dental surgical procedures.

About the Role

n

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in supporting surgical services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care, infection control, and clinical excellence.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Assisting the surgical team during dental and oral surgical procedures
n
- Preparation and set-up of operating theatres and procedure rooms
n
- Instrument processing, sterilisation, and tracking in accordance with Australian Standards
n
- Maintaining infection prevention and control standards
n
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

n

n
- Previous experience in dental surgery, oral surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery
n
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques
n
- Experience in sterilisation and infection control processes
n
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n

Desirable Qualifications

n

n
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience
n

n
