Job Description

Unison Solar Energy is expanding its finance department to support the next phase of our growth. We are recruiting a Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance and controls across the business.

In this role you will lead the end-to-end financial close, budgeting and forecasting, audit and tax activities, treasury and financial controls, while partnering with senior leaders to drive performance and informed decision‐making.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in building scalable finance processes and systems for a fast‐growing renewable energy business, while helping shape the financial foundations that will support Unison Solar Energy's continued growth.

Responsibilities

- Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow andfinancial planning tosupport business decisions.
n
- Manage core accountingoperations and statutoryreporting, ensuring compliancewith Australian accounting, tax and regulatoryrequirements.
n
- Oversee financial compliancefor grants,green tariffs, subsidiesand renewable energyprojects. Drive finance process, systems and controlimprovements to supportscalable business growth.

- Partner with businessleadersto provide insights, manage financial risksand improve performance.
n
- Lead and developthe finance team, driving accountability, accuracy and continuousimprovement.
n
- Lead the end-to-end financialclose, consolidation, reportingand performance analysis.

What you will bring

- A Bachelor's degreein Accounting, Financeor a relateddiscipline.
n
- Demonstrated financial controlor accounting experiencewithin acorporate or projectenvironment.
n
- CA/CPA qualificationand strong knowledgeof Australian AccountingStandards, IFRS andtax requirements.
n
- A proven trackrecord delivering accuratemanagement accounts, budgets, forecasts and statutoryreporting.
n
- Experience leading audits, compliance activitiesand financial reportingacross multiple entitiesor projects.
n
- Strong systems capability, including experience withSAP,MYOB and ERPplatforms.
n
- A collaborative mindset, high personal integrityand abilityto manage competingpriorities and deadlines.
n
- A team-oriented approachand the abilityto work effectivelyacross multidisciplinaryteams.
