The Blue Mountains Food Co-op is looking for an experienced person to lead the operations of its grocery store in Katoomba. This is a full-time role including some weekend hours; some flexibility will be considered for the right candidate. As a co-operative, we ask that our Store Manager either be a current member of the Blue Mountains Food Co-op or is willing to join.

- Leading a well-established team to deliver outstanding customer service

- Developing the team to unleash their passions and meet their career goals

- Growing sales and profitability

- Improving operational practices
n
- Developing marketing initiatives to optimise store presence
n
- Meeting all WHS and other policy and legal requirements
n

About you

n

n
- 2 plus years management experience, preferably in a retail environment
n
- Demonstrated leadership experience
n




- Experience working in community organisations
n
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
n
- Warm and positive attitude with ability to resolve interpersonal conflict effectively
n
- Self-directed, highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation including WHS, EEO and regulations relating to retail food stores
n
- Solid analytical and numeracy skills
n
- Outstanding organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills
n
- Commitment to the mission, aims, and values of the Blue Mountains Food Co-op
