Auto Electrician - 7/7 Roster - Vehicle Included!

We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join CPH Mining & Civil on a permanent full-time basis, supporting our operations across BMA Goonyella Riverside Mine and Whitehaven Blackwater Mine.

n

Working a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, you'll provide hands-on auto electrical maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown support across CPH's heavy mining and earthmoving fleet.

n

This is a field-focused role offering variety across two major Bowen Basin operations, with a company vehicle provided for work real and reasonable personal use.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Electrical diagnostics, fault finding and repairs across heavy mobile plant
n
- Planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance
n
- Field-based breakdown response and repairs
n
- Diagnosis and rectification of low-voltage electrical systems
n
- Installation, repair and maintenance of electrical components and accessories
n
- Air-conditioning diagnostics, servicing and repairs where qualified
n
- Supporting plant reliability and availability across CPH projects
n
- Completing work in accordance with CPH and site safety, maintenance and operational requirements
n

Requirements

n





We're looking for an experienced tradesperson with strong diagnostic capability and the confidence to work autonomously across mine-site environments.

n

Requirements for this role include:

n

n
- Australian recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification
n
- Demonstrated experience as an Auto Electrician within mining, civil or heavy earthmoving
n
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
- Experience across a range of heavy mobile plant
n
- Strong safety focus and high standard of workmanship
n
- Ability to work autonomously in a field service setting
n
- Current Standard 11 and Coal Mine Workers Health Assessment highly regarded
n
- Existing BMA and/or Whitehaven site competencies and inductions advantageous
n

For Goonyella, BMA's current trade competency process specifically includes Auto Electrical and verifies trade qualifications, relevant experience, mining experience, plant/equipment experience, low-voltage electrical capability and refrigeration experience where applicable.

n

For Blackwater, Whitehaven requires contractor competency to be reviewed and verified prior to site access, with qualifications, competencies and authorisations maintained through its training and LMS processes.
