About The Chance

Help bring independent retailers' visions to life!

At Metcash, we're backing independent businesses to thrive. We're looking for an experienced Retail Project Manager to lead the delivery of new store developments, refurbishments, and fit-outs across our retail network. From concept to store opening, you'll partner with retailers, builders, designers, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects that make a real impact in local communities.

In this Role

n

n
- Lead end-to-end retail development projects, including new store openings, refurbishments, and fit-outs
n
- Manage project budgets, timelines, tender processes, and contractor performance
n
- Coordinate architects, builders, landlords, retailers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
n
- Develop project scopes, review plans, and oversee construction through to completion
n
- Support equipment procurement and drive engagement with Metcash's endorsed suppliers and services
n
- Ensure stores are fully operational and ready for launch, including layouts, equipment, signage, and stock readiness
n

You're Likely a Match If

n

n




- Significant project management experience within retail, FMCG, construction, fit-out, or refurbishment environments
n
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction processes, and project delivery methodologies.
n
- Ability to interpret plans and technical drawings
n
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
n
- Proven experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and timelines simultaneously
n
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with a passion for delivering results
n
