Job Description

Tamworth Hospital is seeking a Locum Paediatrics Registrar to support overnight paediatric coverage within Hunter New England LHD.

This role is suited to a registrar with recent Paediatrics experience who is confident managing paediatric presentations, supporting ward-based care, completing documentation and escalating concerns appropriately when required.

Clinical Environment:

n

Paediatrics Registrar role
n Hospital-based locum position at Tamworth Hospital
n Night shifts, generally 22:00 – 08:30
n Seven-shift block available
n Supportive clinical environment with escalation pathways available

n

Key Duties:

n

Review and manage paediatric patients
n Support ward-based care and acute presentations
n Complete clinical documentation and handover
n Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
n Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams

n

Eligibility Criteria:

n

Current AHPRA Registration
n Recent Paediatrics registrar-level experience




n Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
n Ability to work safely within scope and escalating appropriately
n Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
