About the role

n

Responsibilities include:

n

n
- Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
n
- Gathering information about electrical system issues and identifying requirements.
n




- Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing relevant courses of action.
n
- Installation, repair or replacement of faulty electrical wiring and any other associated parts.
n

n

- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment, as well as autonomously.

- Demonstrated positive commitment to safety and secure work practices working around heavy machinery.
n
- Strong communication skills.
n
- Proven strong diagnostic and trouble shooting ability with respect to heavy earthmoving equipment electrical and wiring systems.

Essential

n

n
- Australian recognised and relevant trade certificate.
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in the mining industry as a qualified Auto Electrician.
n
- ARC Air Con Refrigerant Handling Licence.
n
- Experience with Caterpillar and Komatsu Mining Equipment and Liebherr Excavators electronic equipment and systems.
n
- Surface Coal Mining Induction QLD (Standard 11).
n
- Current Australian Drivers Licence.
n
- QLD Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme Assessment or willingness to complete along with a Pre-Employment Medical.

- Strong Technical writing capability.

- Risk management skills and experience.
