Occupational Therapist (NDIS) | Community-Based | Casual

AMRA Healthcare is seeking a motivated, experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing team on a casual basis.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with direct NDIS experience who enjoys working in the community, values person-centered care, and is passionate about helping participants achieve greater independence and quality of life.

n

You will primarily work with NDIS participants, completing assessments, reviews and reports, while providing recommendations that support participants to achieve their goals and access appropriate supports.

n

About the Role

n

As an Occupational Therapist with AMRA Healthcare, your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Completing NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs)
n
- Conducting NDIS reviews and reassessments
n
- Preparing high-quality, evidence-based reports for the NDIS
n
- Completing Home & Living Assessments and reports
n
- Conducting psychosocial and functional assessments
n
- Providing recommendations regarding assistive technology, home modifications, support arrangements and reasonable and necessary supports
n
- Conducting assessments within participants' homes and community environments
n
- Supporting participants to identify and achieve their personal and functional goals
n
- Working collaboratively with participants, families, carers, support coordinators and other allied health professionals
n
- Maintaining accurate, professional and timely client recordsEnsuring all services are delivered in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards,



professional obligations, organizational policies and best-practice principles
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

n

n
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
n
- Demonstrated experience working with NDIS participants
n
- Experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs)
n
- Experience undertaking NDIS reviews and report writing
n
- Experience with Home & Living Assessments and/or psychosocial assessments
n
- Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- A person-centered and strengths-based approach
n
- The ability to work independently while maintaining strong professional relationships
n
- A compassionate, professional and reliable work ethic
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
n
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
n
- Current National Police Check
n
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
n
- Current Australian Driver License
n
- Reliable, registered and insured motor vehicle
n
