Job Summary

n

Join Signify Dynalite's R&D; team and help develop intelligent building control products deployed in some of the world's most iconic commercial, hospitality, and public infrastructure projects.

n

Based at our Moorebank, Sydney facility, you'll work within a multidisciplinary engineering team developing innovative connected building and lighting control solutions from concept through to production. With R&D; and manufacturing co-located on site, you'll have the unique opportunity to rapidly prototype, test, refine, and launch products while gaining direct visibility across the entire product development lifecycle and the real-world impact of your designs.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Own the mechanical design of recent lighting control products—from concept through prototyping, validation, and production

n

Develop robust, manufacturable designs using plastics, sheet metal, and assemblies

n
- n

Build and test prototypes in a hands-on lab environment

n
- n

Collaborate closely with electronics, firmware, and global R&D; teams

n
- n

Contribute to system architecture and product innovation

n
- n

Translate project requirements into practical engineering solutions

n
- n

Improve product performance, reliability, and cost through design optimisation

n

Your team

n

You'll be joining a high-performing local engineering team comprising mechanical, electronics, embedded software, firmware, and test engineers. The team works closely together in a collaborative environment where ideas move quickly from concept to prototype and into production

n

Critical Experiences

n

This role is ideally suited to an early-career or mid-level engineer who enjoys hands-on product development and is looking to take ownership of complete product designs across the full product lifecycle. We are seeking a professional with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering who can thrive in a multidisciplinary, globally connected R&D; environment.

- 3+ years’ experience in mechanical or mechatronic product design




n
- Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)
n
- Experience designing for manufacturing (injection moulded plastics, sheet metal, & assemblies)
n
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
n
- Familiarity with engineering validation (DFMEA, DFM, etc.)
n
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines
n

Nice to have

- Basic electrical knowledge
n
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator or similar tools
n

n
