We are looking for motivated and reliable Trade Assistants to join our installation team on a full-time basis. Working alongside our experienced electricians and solar installers, you will assist with residential and commercial solar and battery installations while gaining valuable hands‐on experience in the industry.

Salary & Career Opportunities

n

Our Trade Assistants can earn between $65,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience and skills.

n

We also provide ongoing training and career development opportunities, with the potential to progress into senior installation roles and apprenticeships for the right candidates.

About the Role

n

As a Trade Assistant at Technaus Solar, you will work closely with our installation crews and assist with the installation of solar and battery systems across Melbourne.

n

Your key responsibilities will include:

n

- Assisting with residential and commercial solar installations.
n
- Loading, unloading and preparing materials and equipment.
n
- Assisting with lifting and positioning solar panels.
n
- Supporting electricians and installers during installations.
n
- Carrying out basic roof work under supervision.
n




- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe worksite.
n
- Conducting site preparation and clean‐up.
n
- Following all workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Maintaining accurate job records and completing required documentation.
n
- Providing professional and friendly customer service while onsite.
n

Requirements

n

To be successful in this role, you should have:

n

n
- Previous experience in construction, roofing, labouring, solar, or a similar trade (preferred but not essential).
n
- White Card (essential).
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
n
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and work comfortably at heights.
n
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
n
- Good communication skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Strong attention to detail.
n
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
