And we're looking for a very valuable CNC Machine Operator.

Not because we need someone to stand beside a machine and push buttons.

We're looking for someone who understands machinery.

Someone who notices when something doesn't sound right.

Someone who takes pride in getting a job spot-on.

Someone who treats the machine they operate like it's theirs.

And someone who wants to become seriously good at what they do.

CNC Machine Operator

n

Here's what you'll be working with.

n

Our workshop produces high-quality stone benchtops and components.

n

You'll work with equipment including our Donatoni Jet bridge saw and Intermac Master CNC.

n

If you already know those machines, we'd especially like to talk.

n

If you don't, that's not necessarily a deal breaker.

n

Good CNC experience from manufacturing, machining or fabrication could be enough.

n

We can teach stone.

n

It's much harder to teach someone to care.

n

We want you to own your part of the workshop.

n





This isn't a job where every decision gets made for you.

n

We want someone who understands their machinery.

n

Set it properly.

n

Run it properly.

n

Look after it.

n

Spot problems early.

n

Find better ways of doing things.

n

Reduce waste.

n

And produce work you're proud to put your name against.

If you've got ideas, we want to hear them.

If something isn't working, speak up.

If there's a better way, show us.

That's the sort of operator we're looking for.

What do we actually care about?

n

You need solid CNC operating experience.

n

Stone industry experience would be excellent, but it isn't essential.

n

You should be mechanically minded.

n

You need to read drawings and measurements accurately.

n

You need to understand that a few millimetres can matter.

n





You need to care about quality, safety and looking after equipment.

n

Most importantly, you need to be reliable.

n

Turn up.

n

Do what you say you'll do.

n

Help the person beside you.

n

Take some pride in the place.

n

Leave things better than you found them.

n

Pretty simple really.

n

What about the money?

n

$30–$45 per hour, plus overtime.

n

Your rate depends on what you bring with you.

n

If you're highly experienced and can operate independently, we'll recognise that.

n

If you've got strong CNC skills but need to learn stone, let's talk.

n

We're more interested in finding the right person than ticking every box.

n

The hours aren't bad either.

n

Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 3:30pm
n Friday: 6:30am - 1:30pm

n

There will be overtime and occasional Saturday work when required.

n

And Friday finishes early.

n

We fire up the BBQ for the team too.

n

You don't need to decide anything today.
