NORTHSIX is partnering with an established national transport and logistics business to set up a new operation in Brisbane. This is a ground‐floor opportunity to shape a new site's growth, working closely with the operational team

Role Summary

n

This Business Development Manager role will be focused on building new business across Brisbane for a newly established site.

n

In this role, you will also support the handover of some existing key accounts currently managed interstate, as they transition to local management.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Develop and execute sales plans to grow revenue, margin and market share across Queensland
n
- Identify and secure new business through prospecting, customer engagement, site visits and tenders
n
- Build strong relationships with customers, prospects and industry contacts
n
- Work closely with the site's operational team to deliver customer and commercial outcomes
n
- Travel throughout Queensland, with some interstate travel as required, for customer meetings, site visits and business development
n
- Support the transition of existing key accounts as they move to local management
n

About You

n

n
- Experience in business development, sales or account acquisition, ideally within transport, logistics, supply chain or a related B2B environment.
n
- Applicants from an operations background who are ready to step into a sales-focused role are also encouraged to apply
n
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
n
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and presentation skills
n
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of a current site's growth
n
- Current driver's license and willingness to travel regularly, including some interstate travel
n
