MARKETING OFFICER – BANKSTOWN ARTS CENTRE

Are you a creative marketing and communications professional who knows how to turn great programs into compelling stories?

Canterbury-Bankstown Council's Bankstown Arts Centre is looking for a passionate Marketing Officer to help grow awareness, engagement and participation across its vibrant arts and cultural program.
n
This is an exciting opportunity to combine marketing, digital communications, creativity and community engagement in a role where your work will directly help connect diverse audiences with arts, culture and creative experiences.
n
What you will be doing
n
n
- Develop and deliver engaging marketing, communications and promotional strategies across digital and print channels.
n
- Grow the Centre's digital presence and audience engagement through websites, EDMs, social media and digital campaigns.
n
- Develop strategies to attract and engage new and diverse audiences.
n
- Manage website content, EDMs and support the Centre's digital database.
n
- Analyse audience, visitor and income data to identify opportunities for growth.
n
- Work collaboratively with Council's Communications & Marketing team to raise the profile of Bankstown Arts Centre.
n
- Develop engaging content tailored to different audiences and platforms.
n
- Support evaluation of cultural programs and audience engagement.
n
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners and the wider community.
n
- Contribute to the promotion and delivery of the Centre's diverse programs and services.
n
n
What you will bring
n
n
- Qualifications in Marketing, Digital Communications or a related discipline, and/or substantial relevant experience.
n
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing strategies and systems.
n
- Strong digital marketing experience and a proven ability to increase online engagement.
n
- Excellent written, communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
n
- The ability to create compelling content and adapt your writing for different audiences and purposes.
n
- A flexible and cooperative approach, with a genuine interest in arts, culture and community engagement.
n
- A current Working with Children Check.
n
n
Experience that will set you apart
n
n
- Public relations and media networks
n
- Experience with multicultural issues in a diverse community
n
- Public relation skills.
n
- Understanding of multi-disciplinary contemporary arts practices.
n
- Working knowledge of relevant computer software systems e.g. Adobe Suite (InDesign and/or Photoshop), EDM systems like Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp or similar and CRM, Kuula/Matterport or similar.
n
- Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and/or Photoshop
n
- EDM platforms such as Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor
n
- CRM and digital audience management systems
n
- Grant writing and editing
n
- Contemporary and multidisciplinary arts
n
- Working with culturally diverse communities
n
- Digital platforms such as Kuula, Matterport or similar
n
- Current Class C Driver Licence
n
n
