The Prospect

ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with an established national commercial builder delivering a diverse pipeline of projects across high-rise apartments, education, retail, mixed-use and commercial construction.

n

With continued growth across South Australia, they are looking for a Safety Supervisor to join their project delivery team and help drive a proactive, practical and positive approach to safety on site.

n

This is a business where safety isn't treated as a box-ticking exercise. You will work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors to ensure safety is embedded into day-to-day project delivery.

Importantly, you will be supported by experienced leaders who will continue developing your technical capability and provide a genuine pathway towards Safety Management as your experience grows.

The Role

n

As Safety Supervisor, you will take an active presence on site, building strong relationships with project teams and ensuring WHS standards are consistently maintained.

- Facilitating site inductions, toolbox talks, audits and risk assessments
n
- Monitoring site activities and identifying potential hazards before they become issues
n




- Leading and supporting incident investigations, including ICAM processes
n
- Working closely with subcontractors and site teams to improve safety performance
n
- Reviewing SWMS and ensuring compliance with project and legislative requirements
n
- Supporting safety across high-risk activities, crane operations and complex construction environments
n
- Maintaining accurate WHS documentation, reporting and registers
n
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across projects
n
- Promoting a practical and positive safety culture throughout the site
n

You will be a construction safety professional who enjoys being visible on site, building relationships and influencing people, rather than simply managing safety from behind a desk.

n

You will ideally bring

n

n
- 2–3+ years' experience within a construction safety position
n
- Previous exposure to commercial construction
n
- Certificate IV in WHS or relevant safety qualifications
n
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and compliance
n
- ICAM or incident investigation experience
n
- Exposure to apartments, high-rise, crane operations or other high-risk environments will be highly regarded
n
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with trades, subcontractors and senior project leaders
n
- A collaborative approach with the ability to hold people accountable when required
n
