Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on AV Service Technician to join our team delivering commercial audio-visual systems across a range of environments including corporate offices, meeting spaces, and collaboration environments.

This role is primarily focused on service support and commissioning of AV systems, assisting clients with troubleshooting, maintenance, and system optimisation once installations are complete.

n

In addition to service work, the role may also include involvement in AV install tasks, working alongside our Install teams. This position suits someone who is a natural problem solver, proactive with their time & effort, enjoys being part of a team but can also work autonomously.

Key responsibilities

- Manage incoming enquiries & client communications, to respond in an effective & timely manner
n
- Attend service and support callouts to diagnose and resolve AV faults
n
- Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks
n
- Troubleshoot AV, control and basic network issues
n
- Provide client assistance and basic user guidance when required
n
- Document service work and maintain record keeping & job tracking
n
- Provide remote troubleshooting and coordinating onsite service callouts with customers
n




- Assist with system configuration, testing and commissioning
n
- Install commercial AV systems including displays, projectors, speakers, control systems, cameras and conferencing systems
n
- Run and terminate AV cabling including HDMI, Cat6, speaker cable and control wiring
n

About you

n

- Experience installing commercial AV systems
n
- Understanding of AV signal flow (audio, video and control)
n
- Ability to read AV schematics and installation drawings
n
- Experience with AV equipment racks and structured cabling
n
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, VLAN concepts beneficial)
n
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding ability
n
- Good communication skills when working with clients and internal teams
n
- Current driver's license
n
- Experience with platforms such as Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, or similar (desirable)
n
- Structured cabling or electrical experience (desirable)
n
- Work on modern commercial AV deployments
n
- Exposure to leading AV and collaboration technologies
n
