The Role

n

This roleplays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice. Assistingin the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.

n

Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned withresidentspreferred daily routines with a strong focus on:

n

- Meal choices and individual nutrition
n
- Consideration of allergies and food intolerances
n
- Enhancing the overall dining experience
n
- Assistresidents with mealselectionand meal timing preferences
n
- Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
n
- Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
n
- Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience
n
- Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
n
- Prepare andmaintaindining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices
n
- Maintainaccuratenutrition and diet information asrequired
n
- Assistwith quality food preparationin accordance withthe Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework
n
- Assistwithmaintainingkitchen stock supplies asrequired
n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Demonstrated customer service skills
n
- A compassionate and caring attitude
n
- Previousrestaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
n




- Willingness to take direction from others
n
- Reliability and shift flexibility
n
- Good timemanagement skills and the ability to work well under pressure
n
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
n
- Complete a police checkand or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain) prior to commencement
n
