ABOUT THE ROLE

n

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic First Nations AOD facilitators committed to maintaining professional and culturally safe practices, knowledge of trauma-informed support to our First Nations clients is desirable.

n

This is an identified position to be filled by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons as permitted by and arguable under sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).

ABOUT YOU

n

We are looking for people who are committed to cultural safety, trauma-informed practice, and supporting our people in a way that is respectful and empowering.

n

To be successful in this role, ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Three or more years' experience deliveringAlcohol and Other Drugtraining and/or programs toFirst Nations men and/or women;
n
- Experience in creating respectful, meaningful, collaborative and inclusive relationships with clients
n
- Experience working within First Nations community-controlled organisations and/or experience working within First Nations' communities is an advantage
n
- Experience working in the corrective services system is highly desirable
n
- Understanding of therapeutic process such as Narrative andCBT therapies is desirable, or willingness to train in both CBT and Narrative therapies
n
- Be open to further training and ongoing professional development, including skilled supervision
n
- Must have a current driver's licence
n
- Must have a Blue Card and be willing to undergo a criminal history check.
