We are seeking a qualified and experienced full-time Automotive Electrician to join our growing team.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Diagnosing electrical and electronic faults in motor vehicles using specialised diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Inspecting, testing and troubleshooting vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, alternators, starters and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Repairing and replacing faulty electrical wiring, wiring harnesses, switches, sensors and other electrical and electronic components.
- Installing, testing and maintaining electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles.
- Testing and repairing charging, starting, ignition and other vehicle electrical systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Installing and integrating aftermarket electrical accessories, including audio systems, alarms and navigation systems.




- Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, technical manuals and manufacturer specifications to accurately identify and repair faults.
- Performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance and electrical system checks.
- Updating and reprogramming vehicle software, firmware and electronic control modules where required.
- Conducting post-repair testing to ensure electrical systems operate safely and effectively.
- Communicating diagnostic findings and repair requirements to customers while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

- A relevant Automotive Electrician trade qualification or equivalent recognised qualification and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment, electrical testing tools and fault-finding techniques.
- Strong knowledge of automotive wiring, electrical components and contemporary vehicle electronic systems.
- The ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and manufacturer specifications.
- A current manual driver's licence.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- At least one year experience as an Automotive Electrician.
- Experience working with Volkswagen Auto Group vehicles, Mercedes-Benz, BMW or within a European or high-performance automotive workshop will be highly regarded.
