About the role and where you will be working:

As a Mental Health Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high quality, person centred care to individuals experiencing mental illness. Working closely within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to recovery focused and trauma informed practices across both sites.

This is a permanent part time position, working 4 days per fortnight across two of our aged care residential facilities:

- Frank Prendergast House in Success

- Margaret Hubery House in Rossmoyne

We’ll also be asking you to:

- Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and collaboratively develop care plans

- Administer and monitor medications, including psychotropic drugs

- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing risk assessment

- Educate and support clients and their families/carers through their recovery journey

- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using electronic health systems

- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders

- Participate in care reviews, team meetings, and quality improvement activities

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

- Postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent experience)

- Demonstrated understanding of the Mental Health Act 2014 (WA)

- Experience working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills





- Competence using clinical systems for documentation and care planning

- A current WA Driver’s Licence

- Provide First Aid and CPR Certificate
