Fumens Lawyers is an established firm with offices in the Melbourne CBD, Glen Iris and Glen Waverley, and a busy and growing family law practice. We are a full service law firm with separate Family, Crime, Commercial, Property and Litigation Departments.

The role

n

We are looking for a junior family lawyer to join our team, based across our CBD and Glen Iris offices. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or recently admitted lawyer to build a genuine career in family law within a supportive, hands-on workplace, working directly alongside experienced practitioners who will train and mentor you as you develop.

n

The work focuses on family law, with very few (if any) intervention order and family violence matters.

n

Day to day, you can expect to:

n

n
- Assist with property settlements, parenting matters and financial agreements;
n
- Prepare correspondence, court documents and file notes under supervision;




n
- Attend client conferences and court as your experience grows; and
n
- Work closely with senior lawyers and Counsel across a varied caseload.

About you

n

n
- Admitted to practice in Victoria and holding a current Victorian practicing certificate;
n
- No prior family law experience is required — full training and supervision will be provided;
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a careful eye for detail;
n
- A genuine interest in building a career in family law; and
n
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese will be highly regarded, though it is not essential.
