About the Role

n

Working 3 to 4 days a week, you'll keep our stock organised and moving.

n

This includes:

n

placing and following up orders with suppliers, and chasing short-supplied or backordered lines

n

receiving deliveries - unpacking and lifting cartons, checking goods against invoices, resolving discrepancies and credits, and getting stock away promptly

n

processing supplier invoices and keeping records accurate and up to date

n

carrying out regular stocktakes and assisting with stock audits

n

monitoring stock levels, slow movers and expiry dates, and flagging anything that needs attention

n

maintaining a tidy, well-organised stock area and keeping the shop floor and shelves properly stocked and rotated

n

assisting with other duties as needed from time to time

n

You'll get training on our systems when you start, plus ongoing support from the wider team.

About You

n





You're methodical, you notice when numbers don't add up, and you'd rather sort a problem out than leave it for someone else. You're comfortable in a busy pharmacy where the day doesn't always go to plan.

n

You'll have:

n

previous experience in stock control, inventory, purchasing, receiving or a similar role, ideally in a community pharmacy or retail environment

n

experience processing invoices, credits and returns

n

experience assisting with or running stocktakes

n

good numeracy and a practical understanding of stock levels and expiry dates

n

You'll be:

n

accurate and detail-focused - you check your work and pick up discrepancies

n

well organised, with the ability to prioritise and keep several jobs moving at once

n

confident with computers, including basic Excel and email

n

a transparent, friendly communicator with suppliers, the team and customers

n

able to work through your tasks independently once you know the routine

n

reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to help during busy periods

n

physically able to lift and move stock and spend time on your feet

n

a genuine team player, willing to lend a hand where needed

n

discreet and professional with confidential customer and business information
