Bells Diesel Repairs is looking for an experienced Heavy Road Transport Mechanic who takes pride in their work and wants to be treated like a tradesperson — not just another number.

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day stuck in the same workshop.

You'll have your own fully equipped service truck, a mix of workshop and field work, plenty of variety, and the autonomy to diagnose problems and get the job done properly.

The role

n

You'll be working across our Lytton workshop and customer sites throughout Brisbane, maintaining and repairing heavy road transport vehicles.

n

Your work will include:

n

n
- Heavy vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance
n
- Diagnostics and fault finding
n
- Engine, cooling and fuel system repairs
n
- Brake and suspension repairs
n
- Clutch and driveline repairs
n
- Electrical diagnosis and repairs
n




- Trailer servicing and repairs
n
- Onsite fleet maintenance
n
- Breakdown diagnosis and repairs
n
- Completing service records and job documentation
n
- Identifying additional repairs and communicating findings clearly
n

We work with established fleets throughout Brisbane, so we're looking for someone who understands that quality workmanship, communication and getting the job right the first time matter.

Who we're looking for

n

We're not looking for someone who needs to be watched all day.

n

We're looking for an experienced mechanic who can be given a job, diagnose the problem, make good decisions and get it sorted.

n

You'll ideally have:

n

n
- Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle / Heavy Road Transport / Diesel Mechanic qualification
n
- Strong experience working on trucks and heavy road transport equipment
n
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
n
- Confidence working independently in the field
n
- Experience with onsite and breakdown repairs
n
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
n
- Current manual driver's licence
n
- Strong attention to detail
n
- Good communication with customers and the workshop team
n
- Pride in your workmanship
n
- A practical, common-sense approach to repairs
n
