Sales Consultant

Bendigo, Victoria | Full-time | On-site $70,000–$90,000 + super | Profit Sharing | Performance-based salary growth

Bring your sales skills. Build the relationship. Win the opportunity.

You’ve built a successful career in sales. You know how to build relationships, manage a pipeline, navigate commercial conversations and turn opportunities into wins.

Now you’re ready to put that experience to work on something you can actually see come to life.

Sculptform is looking for a driven Sales Consultant to join our team at our Bendigo headquarters.

You’ll manage a portfolio of significant architectural and construction opportunities, working directly with builders, contractors and subcontractors as projects progress through tender, procurement and ultimately to profitable orders.

But these aren’t quick transactional sales.

Our projects typically have long sales cycles, and success comes from knowing how to stay connected, follow up consistently and nurture relationships over time without losing sight of the commercial outcome.

You’ll need the patience to stay with an opportunity, the organisation to know exactly where it sits in the pipeline, and the judgement to know when and how to follow up.

We’re looking for someone with proven sales success, commercial confidence, exceptional organisation and outstanding follow-up skills who understands that building trust and nurturing relationships can be just as important as closing the sale.

You don’t need architectural experience.

Bring us your sales experience, your drive and a genuine interest in building and design. We’ll teach you the rest.

The Opportunity

As our Sales Consultant, you’ll take ownership of a substantial portfolio of qualified sales opportunities.

You’ll build solid relationships with builders, contractors and subcontractors, understand what is happening commercially on each project and help guide opportunities through what can often be a long and complex sales cycle.

Some projects may progress quickly. Others can take considerable time from initial engagement through to purchase order.

That means you need to be comfortable playing the long game.

You’ll need to be patient and persistent, maintaining relationships and keeping in regular contact without becoming transactional or simply chasing a sale. You’ll understand how to nurture an prospect, add value throughout the process and remain front of mind when the customer is ready to make a decision.

At any point, you should understand:

Where does the project stand? Who needs to be engaged? When should I follow up? What does this customer need from us? What could influence the decision? And what is the next action?

Construction projects don’t always follow a straight line. Timelines change. Decisions stall. Specifications are challenged. Priorities shift.

That’s where patience, persistence and great follow-up matter.

We need someone who can maintain relationships and momentum over an extended period — someone who doesn’t give up when a project goes quiet, but also understands that effective sales isn’t about constantly pushing for an immediate decision.

More Than Just Sales

We’re not looking for someone who can simply sell.

We’re looking for someone who can build relationships, nurture opportunities and own the sales journey from initial engagement through to purchase order.

You’ll be managing multiple opportunities at different stages, each involving different stakeholders, drawings, quotations, deadlines, commercial considerations and next actions.

Your organisation and time management need to be exceptional.

You’ll need a disciplined approach to follow-up. A project that may not convert for several months still needs to be nurtured, and you’ll need to know when to check in, when to provide value and when to move the conversation forward.

Great sales skills will get you started.

Patience, relationship building, organisation and consistent follow-through will make you successful.

Who We’re Looking For

First and foremost, you’re an experienced salesperson with a proven track record of delivering results.

Your industry background is less important to us than what you’ve achieved.

- Are proactive and always know what the next action should be.
- Are responsive, conscientious and have excellent attention to detail.
- Can handle direct and challenging conversations professionally.
- Enjoy being accountable for targets and measuring your performance.
- Collaborate well with others and understand that winning an opportunity is a team effort.
- Have a genuine interest in building, construction, architecture or design.
- Are hungry to learn, improve and succeed.

Sales Experience Matters. Architectural Experience Doesn’t.

We don’t expect you to arrive knowing everything about architectural wall, ceiling and façade systems.

We’ll teach you that.

What we’re looking for is much harder to teach:

Sales instinct.

Relationship building.

Patience and persistence.

Exceptional follow-up.

Commercial confidence.

Organisation.

Ownership.

Attention to detail.

And the desire to win.

If you’ve built a successful sales career in another industry and know how to build relationships and nurture opportunities over time, don’t assume you’re not qualified.

You could be exactly who we’re looking for.

Application Process

Our people are central to our success, and we place a strong emphasis on finding people who align with our values, culture and long-term vision.

We want to make sure there is a great fit on both sides, so our recruitment process gives us the opportunity to get to know you, your sales experience and what motivates you, while also giving you the opportunity to learn more about Sculptform and the role.

A successful candidate will typically progress through two interviews, followed by reference checks.

Throughout the interview process, we’ll be particularly interested in hearing about your previous sales results, how you’ve managed longer sales cycles, how you build and nurture customer relationships, and the systems and habits you use to ensure opportunities are consistently followed up.

For your confidential application, please submit your resume and cover letter via SEEK.

We thank all applicants for their interest. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
