Main Beach Superyacht Marina is a premium new marina on the Gold Coast, providing berthing and services for vessels from approximately 11m through 73m

n

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Dockhand / Duty Manager to join our team and play an important role in the daily operation of the marina.

n

The successful applicant will be highly visible on the docks and actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the marina, working alongside our dockhand team and providing practical leadership when required.

n

The Role:

n

Working closely with the General Manager, you will help ensure the marina operates safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

n

Your day will involve being on the dock, assisting customers and vessels, coordinating daily tasks and making sure the marina is presented at the standard expected of a premium superyacht facility.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Be actively involved in daily dock operations.
n
- Assist with vessel arrivals, departures, berthing and line handling.
n
- Provide hands-on support to vessel owners, captains and crew.
n
- Work alongside and provide day-to-day direction to dockhands.
n
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure they are completed to a high standard.
n
- Assist with marina services including water, power, fuel and pump-out.
n
- Operate marina equipment, vehicles and tenders where required.
n
- Conduct daily checks of pontoons, gangways, facilities and marina equipment.
n
- Identify and report maintenance, safety and operational issues.
n
- Assist with keeping the marina clean, organised and professionally presented.
n
- Assist customers with day-to-day requests and requirements.
n
- Follow and reinforce marina safety procedures and SOPs.
n




- Assist with emergency response and incident management.
n
- Assist the General Manager with the smooth running of daily operations.
n

The Person:

n

We are looking for someone who leads by example and is not afraid to get their hands dirty.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous marina, marine, boating or dockhand experience.
n
- Experience working with larger vessels will be highly regarded.
n
- Good practical boat-handling and line-handling skills.
n
- The ability to confidently communicate with vessel owners, captains and crew.
n
- Experience working as part of a small team.
n
- The ability to take responsibility for getting things done.
n
- A calm and practical approach to solving problems.
n
- Positive attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
n
- A professional and well-presented manner.
n
- Marine qualifications such as a Coxswain's Certificate will be highly regarded, as will experience in superyacht, marina, luxury hospitality or similar environments.
n

The successful applicant will be expected to identify issues, take care of day-to-day matters within their responsibility and elevate significant issues to the General Manager when required.

n

Working Hours:

n

Full-time position based on a five-day working week.

n

- One weekend day each week

- Some public holiday work
