Job Description

Our client, a highly regarded independent school, is seeking a confident and capable Finance Officer to join their collaborative finance team on a permanent 4-day-per-week basis.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in managing school fee accounts, supporting month-end processes and building trusted relationships with families and stakeholders across the school community. What you'll be doing

- Assist with month-end reconciliations, including bank accounts, school fee ledgers, grants, journals and reporting responsibilities
n
- Managing school fee accounts and payment arrangements
n
- Building positive relationships with parents and caregivers and internal stakeholders
n
- Monitoring receivables and proactively following up outstanding accounts
n
- Investigating discrepancies and maintaining accurate financial records
n
- Assisting with finance projects, process improvements and day-to-day operations
n
- Providing responsive support across the school community
n

About you

n

What matters most is your ability to combine your solid accounting fundamentals with exceptional communication skills. You will bring:

- Experience in accounts receivable, finance administration or accounting
n
- Strong reconciliation and reporting capability
n




- Intermediate Excel skills with knowledge of TASS, Synergetic, Compass and Sentral highly regarded
n
- The confidence to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy
n
- A proactive, solutions‐focused approach with excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
n
- A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding stakeholder service
n
- You will hold or be working towards a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
n
