Ability to be available to work a versatile roster, which willinclude shifts from 4 AM to 12:00 PM

This is a full-time position, offering approximately 38 hours per week.

Bakers Delight Salamander Bay , Monavale & Forestway is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic Qualified Bakerto join the Bakery.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

making and preparing bakery items as per menu

n

checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

n

checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients

n

kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods

n

preparing pastry fillings

n





monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times

n

coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products

n

glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing

n

operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits

n

emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

n

To be considered for this role you need to be ableto meet the following selection criteria.

n

Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week,which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 4 am)

n

Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.

n

Portray a positive attitude

n

Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor

n

Abide by company policies and procedures at all times

n

Train, develop and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department

n

Applicants with minimum of 1 years' experience or Certificate III in Baking, as a Baker will have advantage for this role.
