Elite Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Mackay, QLD on a casual/ full time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic dental environment, providing essential support to our dental professionals and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our practice, contributing to a positive patient experience and the overall success of our clinic.

What you'll be doing

n

Providing chairside assistance to dentists during patient treatments and procedures

n

Preparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and maintaining dental equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

n

Recording patient medical and dental histories and maintaining accurate patient records

n

Assisting with patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care

n

Managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative duties

n

Providing compassionate patient support and ensuring a welcoming clinic environment

n

Maintaining compliance with dental health and safety regulations

n

Supporting the dental team with inventory management and stock ordering as required

n

What we're looking for

n

A recognised Dental Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant experience in a dental setting

n

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members

n





Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities

n

Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols

n

Proficiency with dental software and computer systems

n

A compassionate, patient-focused approach to patient care

n

Flexibility and reliability with availability for casual shifts

n

Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it

n

Ability to work effectively as part of a cooperative team
