Job Description

We are seeking an experienced EL1 Technical Business Analyst to join a major Federal Government data and analytics transformation program on a 12-month contract.

This role will bridge business and technology teams, leading the development of business and technical requirements and helping translate complex business needs into practical data and technology solutions.

n

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Lead business and technical requirements development across large-scale data and analytics programs
n
- Develop traceability frameworks linking deliverables to business outcomes
n
- Document complex data flows, processes and technical requirements
n
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and solution designs
n
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and working groups
n
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data and analytics solutions
n
- Work across business, technical and vendor teams in an Agile setting
n

Ideally you will have the following:

n

n
- Strong experience delivering business and technical requirements within data and analytics programs
n
- Experience with cloud data platforms, data architecture, ETL, governance and security
n
- Strong data flow and process modelling capability
n
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
n
- Practical Agile experience, including epics, user stories and backlog management
n
- Experience with SQL, Python, SAS Viya or similar technologies is highly regarded
n

Eligibility:

Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of citizenship as part of the pre-engagement process.

n

This role will be offered as an initial12 month contract + 12 month extension option.
