We're looking for an experienced Regional Manager, Injury Assist NSW/ACT to lead our workers' compensation and injury management function across NSW and the ACT.

n

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing compliance with ISS's NSW self-insurance licence, managing our ACT insured arrangements, and driving early intervention, sustainable return-to-work outcomes and financially responsible claims management.

n

You'll lead and develop the NSW/ACT Injury Assist team while partnering with operational leaders, HSEQ, HR, Finance, regulators and external service providers. With a combination of technical expertise, commercial thinking and robust people leadership, you'll help deliver positive outcomes for our people and the business.

What you'll do

n

In this role, you will:

n

- Lead the day-to-day operations and performance of the NSW/ACT Injury Assist team, including workload allocation, portfolio oversight, capability development and performance conversations.
n
- Develop, implement and review workers' compensation strategies across NSW and the ACT.
n
- Maintain compliance with the NSW self-insurance licence and relevant legislative, regulatory, accreditation and reporting requirements.
n
- Oversee ACT insurance arrangements and work closely with the insurer to progress claims and achieve commercially sound outcomes.
n
- Provide expert technical guidance on complex claims, injury management, return to work, disputes, litigation and settlement negotiations.

- Champion early reporting,



early intervention and safe, sustainable return-to-work practices.
n
- Partner with HSEQ, HR, Finance and operational leaders to develop effective claims strategies and strengthen safety and risk management.
n
- Use claims data and reporting to identify trends, provide meaningful insights and support informed decision-making.
n
- Develop and deliver workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work training across the business.
n
- Manage relationships and performance across insurers, legal advisers, rehabilitation providers and other service partners.
n
- Represent ISS during regulatory audits and reviews, industry forums, court proceedings and settlement discussions as required.
n
- Identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve claims, injury management, reporting and team processes.

What you'll bring

n

You'll be an accomplished workers' compensation or injury management professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to lead people and influence stakeholders.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- At least five years' experience in workers' compensation, including early intervention, injury management and return to work.
n




- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a claims or injury management team.
n
- Experience working within a self-insurance environment, including regulatory compliance, audits and licence requirements.
n
- Comprehensive knowledge of NSW and ACT workers' compensation legislation, regulatory requirements and guidelines.
n
- Experience managing complex claims and working with insurers, regulators, legal advisers, medical professionals and rehabilitation providers.
n
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management and organisational capability.
n
- Sound analytical skills with the ability to turn claims data into practical business insights.
n
- An understanding of medical terminology and its application to injury management and return-to-work planning.
n
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, claims management systems and business reporting tools.
n
- A relevant tertiary qualification in allied health, rehabilitation, insurance, business or a related discipline.
n
- A current driver's licence and the flexibility to travel as required.
