FutureCare Now is seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our Ballina team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by empowering people with disabilities to live independently, safely, and with dignity.

What You'll Need

Availability Requirement

- Ability to work weekends and public holidays
n
- Ability to accept short notice / last minute shifts when required
n
- All potential employees are required to be available for active overnight or sleepover shifts.
n
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities
n
- Valid NDIS Worker Check or Working with Children Check and National Police Check are required
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Problem-solving and decision‐making ability
n
- Flexibility to adapt to client needs
n
- Commitment to dignity, inclusion, and person‐centred care
n
- Australian work rights are required for this position
n
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or related field (Not Mandatory)
n

About the Role

n

As a Disability Support Worker with FutureCare Now, you will play a vital role in supporting clients across a range of daily living needs. This includes:

n

Personal Care Support

n

n
- Assisting with showering, bathing, grooming, and hygiene routines
n
- Supporting clients with toileting, continence care, and secure manual handling
n
- Helping with dressing, mobility, transfers, and use of assistive equipment
n
- Monitoring wellbeing and responding appropriately to changes in health or behaviour
n
- Collaborate on client‐centred support strategies
n
- Communication effectively with clients, families, and care team
n

Daily Living & Household Support

n

n




- Meal preparation and assistance with eating
n
- Light domestic tasks and cleaning to maintain a protected and comfortable environment
n

n

Community Access & Social Participation

n

n
- Supporting clients to attend appointments, activities, and social outings
n
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and meaningful engagement
n

n

Documentation & Communication

n

n
- Maintaining accurate shift notes and incident reports
n
- Upholding client rights, privacy, and person‐centred care principles
n
