This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer looking to work on sophisticated matters, take on significant client responsibility and further develop their career within a highly regarded practice.

The role
n
Working alongside experienced Employment & Industrial Relations Partners, you'll advise a broad range of public and private sector clients across matters including:
n
n
- Employment and industrial relations advice
n
- Disciplinary, performance management and dismissal matters
n
- Workplace investigations involving misconduct, corruption and code of conduct issues
n
- General protections, discrimination and reinstatement matters
n
- Industrial disputes, appeals and tribunal proceedings
n
- Workplace health and safety and compliance
n
- Interpretation of industrial instruments and employment obligations
n
- Strategic workforce and employee relations advice
n
- Training and presentations on workplace relations issues
n
n
The practice has a particularly strong reputation acting for government departments and agencies on sensitive employment and industrial relations matters, while also advising multinational and domestic corporate clients.
n
You'll have the prospect to work directly with senior stakeholders, HR teams and legal departments, taking ownership of matters while contributing to a collaborative and well-established team.

About you
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
- 5+ years' post-admission experience in Employment and Industrial Relations
n
- Strong experience across both federal and Queensland industrial relations frameworks
n
- Excellent technical employment law, drafting and advocacy skills
n
- Experience advising on complex workplace and employee relations matters
n
- Strong commercial judgement and client management skills
n
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
n
- A genuine interest in developing your expertise within employment and industrial relations
n
n
Experience acting for government or public sector clients will be highly regarded.
