We are looking for an energetic and personable Finance Officer to join our Sydney team.

We are a collaborative, award-winning Architecture and Interior Design practice located in the historic Jones Bay Wharf building, overlooking Sydney Harbour. This is a hands‐on role with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the practice's finance function.

The Role

n

This is a diverse role within a creative studio environment, working closely with the Directors and wider team. The successful candidate will take ownership of the practice's financial operations, with responsibilities including:

- Accounts Payable & Receivable
n
- Project billing, invoicing and debt collection
n
- Payroll management
n
- Bank reconciliations
n
- Month-end processes and financial reporting
n
- BAS and tax compliance
n
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management
n
- Project financial tracking and cost rates
n
- Financial recordkeeping and controls
n
- Ad-hoc financial and administrative support
n

Skills & Experience

n

n




- 5+ years' experience in finance, accounting or a similar role
n
- Experience managing payroll, preferably using Xero
n
- Experience with BAS, month-end processes and financial reporting
n
- Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting
n
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
- Initiative and a proactive, can-do approach
n
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
n
- Personable and confident working with a range of stakeholders
n
- On site role no remote work
