About the role

Hair Colosseum is seeking talented Senior Hairstylists and Apprentices to join our dynamic team at our Chatswood NSW location. This is a full-time position or part-time position offering the perfect opportunity to develop your skills in a thriving salon environment. As a Senior Hairstylist, you will lead by example, mentor junior staff, and deliver outstanding results to our valued clientele. Apprentices will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to build a solid foundation in hairdressing excellence.

Key responsibilities

- Provide high-quality hairstyling services including cutting, colouring, and styling to a diverse client base
n
- Mentor and support apprentices and junior stylists, sharing knowledge and best practices
n
- Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene, safety, and salon presentation
n
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships through professional service and consultation
n
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support salon operations
n
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques through continuous professional development
n
- Learn fundamental hairdressing techniques under the guidance of experienced stylists
n




- Assist with client services including shampooing, conditioning, and basic styling
n
- Develop technical skills in cutting, colouring, and finishing techniques
n
- Maintain salon cleanliness and organisation standards
n
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional development
n
- Build robust customer service skills and salon awareness
n

What we're looking for

- Recognised hairdressing qualification or equivalent experience
n
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional hairdressing experience in a salon setting
n
- Advanced proficiency in cutting, colouring, and styling techniques
n
- Proven ability to mentor and support junior staff members
n
- Strong communication and customer service skills
n
- Passion for creativity and staying current with industry trends
n
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
n
- Minimum Year 10 education or equivalent
n
- Willingness to undertake a formal hairdressing apprenticeship
n
- Strong work ethic and commitment to learning
n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
n
- Attention to detail and personal presentation
n
- Passion for the hair and beauty industry
