genU is looking for Casual Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

n

We currently have several immediate casual opportunities available, with anticipated hours of 20+ per week and the potential to transition to permanent employment.

n

What you'll do

n

n
- Support person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them;
n
- Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
n
- Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
n
- Administration duties and mandatory reporting
n

n

What you'll bring

n

n
- An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
n
- Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
n
- Previous experience with medication administration, manual handling and supporting individuals with high and complex care needs;
n
- Significant experience providing personal care and domestic assistance while maintaining dignity, choice and independence;
n




- Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one)
n
- A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
n

You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.
