As a Restaurant Host at Marmont, you are the welcoming face and first point of contact for our guests. You'll create a warm, friendly atmosphere and set the tone for a memorable dining experience. With a genuine passion for hospitality, you will help manage reservations, organise seating, and work closely with the service team to ensure each guest's experience exceeds expectations.

Key responsibilities

- Greet and welcome every guest with warmth, creating a genuine first impression

- Manage reservations — phone and online bookings, waitlists, and guest requests
n
- Coordinate seating strategically, balancing table turns with guest preferences and kitchen pacing
n
- Respond to guest inquiries and accommodate special requests where possible
n
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to keep seating arrangements and guest needs on track
n
- Share menu, specials, and event highlights to enhance the guest experience
n
- Handle complaints and issues professionally, escalating to the Front of House Manager as needed

- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role

- Solid interpersonal skills with clear, professional communication
n
- A friendly, outgoing personality that puts guests at ease
n
- Sharp organisational skills, comfortable managing seating and reservations in a busy environment
n
- Calm, efficient problem-solving under pressure
n
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
n
- Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods during service
