We're looking for a qualified Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join a busy and supportive maintenance team in Toowoomba.
n
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety, working across heavy vehicles, trucks, trailers, mobile plant, machinery and workshop equipment.
n
If you're an experienced Diesel Fitter who enjoys fault finding, repairs and keeping equipment operating reliably, we'd love to hear from you.
n
We're also happy to consider a strong 4th-year apprentice or qualified mechanic with a great attitude who is keen to develop their heavy diesel skills.
n
What You'll Be Working On
n
This is definitely not a same-job-every-day position.
n
You'll work across a wide range of equipment, including:
n
n
- Trucks and heavy vehicles
n
- Excavators and loaders
n
- Mobile plant and machinery
n
- Trucks and trailers
n
- Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
n
- Workshop machinery
n
- Small plant and equipment
n
- And plenty more
n
n
You'll be involved in everything from routine servicing and preventative maintenance through to fault finding, major repairs and breakdowns.

The Role
n
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
n
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
n
- Fault finding across diesel and mechanical systems
n
- Working with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
n
- Completing breakdown repairs
n
- Inspecting machinery and equipment
n
- Maintaining service and maintenance records
n
- Ensuring equipment is safe, reliable and ready for work
n
- Working as part of a supportive maintenance team
n
n
Who We're Looking For
n
Our ideal candidate will be a:
n
n
- Qualified Diesel Fitter – With experience working on heavy vehicles, mobile plant, machinery or industrial equipment.
n
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanic – With strong mechanical and diagnostic skills and an interest in working across a variety of equipment.
n
- 4th-Year Apprentice – If you're coming towards the end of your apprenticeship, have a good attitude and want to build your career in heavy diesel, we can definitely hear from you.
n
- Experienced Mechanic – If you're a qualified mechanic with robust mechanical skills and you're keen to move into heavy diesel and mobile plant, we can provide the opportunity to learn and develop.
